Sad times

It is with very sore hearts that the crew of Istaboa must post the passing of our beloved mate Sadie.
Sadie, the Grande Dame of our family for almost 13 years, has been laid to rest. We hope there is a special heaven for dogs because we know Sadie and Sam, her brother we lost 2 years ago, are running through the woods, fields, and beaches...together once again.
We are thankful she made this last cruise with us and gave us all the warm memories we will cherish forever. We believe it was her big heart and sweet soul that got us all home together.

She was the sweetest dog we have ever been lucky enough to share time with.

One of the godparents anyway is grieving along with you today. I always marveled at her magical spirit that EVERYONE recognized immediately. Sadie was the nicest, sweetest dog I ever knew. I'm so glad I've spent the time I have with all of you.
Prayers and love to all of you,
Karen

Bob & Melonie,
I knew when you first described Sadie to me that Radar was going to have a great friend. I've so enjoyed the photos of him growing up with Sadie. I know all three of you are heartsore today. Our dogs bring so much to us in their lives.
Our fondest regards,
Carol, Roy, & Radar Sr.

Sorry to hear of the loss of Sadie. I read you blog in search of info on the Abaco's to help in our trip planning. Great diary of your trip and I truly loved hearing the adventures of Sadie and Radar.

My heart goes out to you all,

Oh, I am so, so sorry for your loss.
We lost our beloved Black Lab, Savannah this past March and we know how all of you (including Radar) are feeling right now.
I kept up with your travels through Abaco and thankfully you had Sadie there with you for that memorable trip.
Hugs and prayers to all of you.

My thoughts are with you; how terribly sad for your family. Her pictures are wonderful and though very teary eyed, brought back fond memories of my Mac. He seemed to know my every mood, sad, happy, quite, excited, and was by my side for all of them. She seems to have the same personality. My sincere condolences to you and Radar.

Dear Bob and Mel,
I am so sorry that you have lost your sweet and beautiful Sadie. I know how you feel and there really are no words that help right now, but please know that Johnny and I are thinking of you and are so very sorry for your loss. I notice from the dates of her sweet life that she was two days younger than Roo. That certainly was a vintage time for good friends to be born. Much love and comfort to you in this hard time.

Dear Bob and Melonie...we are soooo sorry for your loss. Sadie was a beautiful lady with a sweet, sweet spirit and Jay and I are glad to have met her.

We know your hearts are bruised, having been there ourselves when we lost our beloved Mercedes (our 12-year of cocker spaniel) a few years ago.

Your blog and the accompanying photos of Sadie and Radar are so beautiful and so special at this time in your lives. We both cried as we read your words and shared the pictures.

Thinking of you with love,
Jackie

Bob, Mel & Radar,

I am so sorry about Sadie. She was such a sweetheart. Sadie will be missed greatly by me & Will. I will never forget those 2 tails slapping up against the wall when my alarm would go off while staying at your house. Who knows, maybe Sam, Sadie & Rebel are all playing together now…

Very sorry for your loss. It doesn't take very long for them to be like family. I feel like we got to see her on her last days. Glad we stopped by.

You really don't know how badly I wish I could jump into one of those
pictures. I envy you being able to take walks with her and having her head
in your lap. No one will ever be able to Hula like Sadie! Do you think Sam pretended not to see her when she arrived -- played it cool? My bet is yes
because she got to cross the Gulf and he didn't. But -- I am sure he came
around and they are laying butt to butt once again.

I will miss the old yellow girl greeting us as we walk down the dock. She was a sweetheart. I believe the hardest I ever cried was when we lost our yellow lab Gem. He was the best dog I have ever had the pleasure of keeping company with. I love the pics of Sadie!
