Beach Dog

We braved the winds, carted up to the top of the dune, and took a walk on the beach.
The Atlantic side of White Sound.
It was near high tide and not much beach out but the breaking waves were great.
Radar loves the beach but he knows that if he gets wet he will get a bath when we're back on the boat.
He's smart that way and most times he doesn't go for the water unless we throw a stick.

But he loves to run and chase birds. He truly goes nuts on the beach.

As you can see...

But this day he could no longer resist the urge to jump in and finally does.

So it's bath time.

Some folks have wondered why we don't have more photos of Sadie.
Well Sadie is 12 years old and it's now more her style to hang out in the cool of the boat and let Radar run the beaches if he wants.
But she did party last Saturday night at Sea Spray's bash.

Love those maddog photos. I have some of my yellow Lab (Callie) doing the maddog thing last year when we spent a week on Little Gaspailla Island. Boy did my dogs love the freedom.
Nothing like taking your dogs to the beach and letting them go crazy. Makes for nice sleepy dogs when you get home.

Just wanted to let you know that I love reading your blog and looking at all the great pictures. I have only been to the Abacos once but hopefully will be going back again next year. I have been living vicariously though you! Living in Huntsville, AL, I have spent a lot of time on the Tennessee River so have enjoyed all those pictures too. Keep posting - there are people out there who love to read it daily!
