The run across the bank

The day started out beautiful and pretty much stayed that way.
Leaving Old Bahama Bay we had to wiggle out through these really big yachts.
But once we got out and onto the Little Bahama Bank ,it was a great day. Flat seas, clear skies, and the beautiful water that you see in these pictures.
Rounding Little Sale Cay we have finally arrived in the Northern Abacos.

As we leave the "Center of the World Rock" to starboard we have nearly completed our run to Spanish Cay.
We started out the day thinking of running to Great Sale and anchoring but we were making good time and decided to push all the way to Spanish.
We pull in to Spanish Cay Marina at 5:30 just as the wind picks up and blows 15 to 20s on our beam. All this makes for a confusing tie up. The marina personnel weren't much help, the power where we tied up was bad, and we had to move and do it all over again.
But by the time all that was over and we had a drink; the sun was sinking and life was good.

We went to the Marina restaurant where we had Grouper in lemon butter sauce. (which was great) Walked the puppies and settled in.
It looks like the weather is about to clock around and bring with it strong NW winds. So the plan is to duck into Green Turtle and spend Easter there.
Happy days!!
